Olivia, Clinic Manager

Hometown:
Carrollton, OH

Education:
Associate of Applied Business from Stark State College of Technology

Why I chose to work in the veterinary field:
I have always enjoyed working with animals as a child such as training horses or working at local stables. I always dreamed of managing a business where I dressed up every day wearing heels and a dress suit. However I obtained a position at a clinic working a few hours a week to help may my way through college and I fell in love with the work. I started as a technician working with Dr. Trish running farm calls and at that point I knew that I would be trading in my heels and suits for boots and scrubs

Favorite animal:
I have always loved the bond I created with my horses over the years, being able to ride or drive a huge animal that I could trust to take me anywhere and could speak the same language without ever saying a word. However, owning a dog that enjoys helping you at the barn, around the house and just being at your side is the greatest feeling ever. In life everyone needs 1 good horse and 1 good dog!

My pets:
Hemi 8yr Paint Mare                Playboy 7yr Pony of America
Hoosier 3yr old barn cat            Coot 1 yr old Blue Tick Coon Hound
Roscoe 7yr old Blue Healer

Hobbies:
Bench shows and Coon hunts with Coot, Trail riding, carting, and barrel racing my horses, hiking in the woods with the dogs.

Hobbies:
I enjoy kayaking and swimming with the dog (although he has to wear a life jacket, only dog in the world that doesn’t know how to swim) Also enjoy hiking and exploring with him, even though his nose is to the ground the whole time and clearly doesn’t care if I’m there for not. Lastly, horseback riding with friends is always a good
